I was thinking about my frustrations with YouTube, and I realized how every now and then I get a comment from a smaller creator complementing me and/or rooting for me. It was like I had an epiphany: Jazmine, don’t give up. There are people who look up to you. And the same goes for YOU.
You are an inspiration to someone. There is someone who is watching your journey, admiring you, and rooting for you. They may not always show themselves or make themselves known, but there are people who watch you in silence as their source of motivation. Someone else looks up to you and takes notes on your journey to help them with their own.
Don’t give up on whatever it is that you’re doing, because even when we’re doing something for ourselves, we’re doing it for others. When we show up for ourselves and we work hard and we don’t give up, we are fueling other people and inspiring them to show up for themselves and work hard, too! This is not to say that you should carry the burden of others’ success, but rather, to help you realize that your hard work has an impact that goes beyond just you.
So, yeah! There’s my quick word of motivation to anyone who’s feeling frustrated or tired and contemplating giving up. Don’t give up. You have a secret admirer.
